Les versions d'ArGoSoft FTP Server antérieures à la 1.4.1.6 sont sensibles aux dépassements de tampon lors du traitement de certaines commandes SITE ZIP ou SITE COPY. Un attaquant disposant d'identifiants de connexion valides peut envoyer des arguments trop longs à ces commandes via le réseau pour faire planter le serveur ou potentiellement exécuter du code arbitraire. Étant donné que l'exploitation nécessite une authentification mais est par ailleurs facile à déclencher, elle représente un risque élevé pour tout serveur exposant ces fonctions FTP.
