Les lecteurs multimédias Gxine (versions 0.4.4 et antérieures) sont sensibles à une erreur de corruption de mémoire lors du traitement d'URL spécifiques. Un attaquant distant peut exécuter du code arbitraire sur votre système simplement en incitant l'application à charger un fichier RAM malveillant. Cela ne nécessite ni authentification ni privilèges particuliers, seulement que le logiciel tente d'accéder à l'URL manipulée.
