Les versions de Novell NetMail antérieures à la 3.52e FTF2 sont vulnérables à un défaut de corruption de mémoire dans le démon IMAP. Un attaquant disposant d'identifiants de connexion valides peut envoyer une commande APPEND spécialement conçue via le réseau pour exécuter du code arbitraire sur le serveur. Cette exploitation est relativement simple à réaliser une fois l'authentification établie.
