ICONICS BizViz et GENESIS32 (versions antérieures à 9.22) sont affectés par une faille de corruption de mémoire dans le sous-système WebHMI. Un attaquant distant et non authentifié peut exécuter du code arbitraire sur le système en envoyant une chaîne de caractères longue et spécifiquement conçue au contrôle ActiveX VersionInfo. Bien que cela nécessite un accès réseau, l'exécution est relativement simple car elle ne requiert aucune interaction de l'utilisateur ni d'identifiants valides.

Stack-based buffer overflow in the SetActiveXGUID method in the VersionInfo ActiveX control in GenVersion.dll 8.0.138.0 in the WebHMI subsystem in ICONICS BizViz 9.x before 9.22 and GENESIS32 9.x before 9.22 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long string in the argument.
