Les versions de Google Chrome antérieures à la 35.0.1916.153 sont affectées par une erreur de gestion de la mémoire dans l'API du système de fichiers du navigateur. Un attaquant distant non authentifié peut déclencher cette faille en incitant un utilisateur à visiter un site web malveillant, ce qui pourrait provoquer le plantage du navigateur ou potentiellement permettre à l'attaquant d'exécuter du code arbitraire. Comme elle ne nécessite aucun privilège particulier et présente une faible complexité d'attaque, elle est relativement facile à déclencher une fois que la victime charge la page préparée à cet effet.
