Les logiciels utilisant la bibliothèque libgadu, comme le client de messagerie Pidgin, sont susceptibles de subir une corruption de mémoire lors du traitement de messages spécialement conçus. Un attaquant distant peut envoyer un message malveillant pour provoquer un plantage ou potentiellement exécuter du code arbitraire sur votre système. Cette attaque ne nécessite ni authentification ni interaction de l'utilisateur et peut être réalisée via le réseau.

libgadu before 1.11.4 and 1.12.0 before 1.12.0-rc3, as used in Pidgin and other products, allows remote Gadu-Gadu file relay servers to cause a denial of service (memory overwrite) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted message.
