Les versions de Google Chrome antérieures à la 39.0.2171.65 sont affectées lors du traitement de fichiers MPEG-4 ou QuickTime (.mov) spécialement conçus. Un attaquant distant peut provoquer un plantage ou potentiellement exécuter du code non autorisé en incitant un utilisateur à ouvrir un fichier multimédia malveillant. Cette attaque ne nécessite aucune authentification et est relativement facile à exécuter, à condition que la victime consulte le contenu compromis.
