Les anciennes versions d'Adobe Flash Player et d'Adobe AIR sur Windows, OS X et Linux sont vulnérables à un défaut de corruption de mémoire. Un attaquant distant non authentifié peut exploiter cette faille en incitant un utilisateur à visiter un site web malveillant ou à ouvrir un fichier spécifiquement conçu, lui permettant ainsi d'exécuter du code arbitraire sur le système. Comme elle ne nécessite aucun privilège particulier et présente une faible complexité, cette vulnérabilité est très accessible aux attaquants via un réseau.
