Les versions de Google Chrome antérieures à la 46.0.2490.71 sont affectées en raison de la manière dont la bibliothèque libANGLE gère les défaillances des périphériques graphiques. Un attaquant distant peut provoquer le plantage du navigateur ou potentiellement exécuter des actions non autorisées en dirigeant un utilisateur vers une page web malveillante. Cette attaque ne nécessite aucune authentification et est relativement facile à exécuter, car elle requiert seulement que la victime visite un site spécifique.

The Image11::map function in renderer/d3d/d3d11/Image11.cpp in libANGLE, as used in Google Chrome before 46.0.2490.71, mishandles mapping failures after device-lost events, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (invalid read or write) or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors involving a removed device.
