Iceni Argus est affecté lors du traitement de fichiers PDF spécialement conçus pendant la conversion XML. Un attaquant peut compromettre entièrement le système — notamment en volant des données ou en provoquant le plantage du service — en incitant un utilisateur à ouvrir un PDF malveillant. Cela nécessite un accès local au système ainsi qu'une interaction de l'utilisateur, mais aucun privilège spécial ni authentification n'est requis pour déclencher l'exploitation.

An exploitable arbitrary heap-overwrite vulnerability exists within Iceni Argus. When it attempts to convert a malformed PDF to XML, it will explicitly trust an index within the specific font object and use it to write the font's name to a single object within an array of objects.
