La version 6.4.3 de CEWE Photo Importer est affectée par une faille qui permet de faire planter l'application via une image JPG spécialement conçue. Un attaquant ayant un accès local au système peut provoquer cet état de déni de service en incitant le logiciel à importer un fichier malformé avec un tampon surdimensionné. Aucun privilège spécial ni authentification d'utilisateur n'est requis pour provoquer le plantage une fois le fichier traité.

CEWE PHOTO IMPORTER 6.4.3 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows local attackers to crash the application by importing a specially crafted image file. Attackers can create a malformed JPG file with an oversized buffer and trigger the crash through the import functionality during the image processing workflow.
