Certains produits de surveillance réseau ne parviennent pas à isoler correctement le trafic retournant par un port miroir. Un attaquant distant et non authentifié peut exploiter cette faille pour envoyer des paquets malveillants directement dans le réseau miroir, ce qui pourrait modifier la configuration ou le comportement des systèmes connectés. Cette attaque est relativement facile à exécuter car elle ne nécessite aucun privilège spécial ni interaction de l'utilisateur.

The monitor barrier of the affected products insufficiently blocks data from being forwarded over the mirror port into the mirrored network. An attacker could use this behavior to transmit malicious packets to systems in the mirrored network, possibly influencing their configuration and runtime behavior.
