Les appareils ProGauge MagLink LX4 de Dover Fueling Solutions sont affectés par des identifiants root codés en dur qui ne peuvent pas être modifiés par l'administrateur. Un attaquant ayant un accès réseau à l'appareil peut utiliser ces identifiants par défaut pour obtenir un contrôle administratif complet du système. Cette exploitation est triviale à exécuter car elle ne nécessite ni authentification, ni interaction de l'utilisateur, ni privilèges spécialisés.
